The 22-year-old Manahawkin resident sustained fatal injuries when his SUV veered off the Garden State Parkway and crashed into multiple trees.

One Dead After Crash in Toms River

Toms River, NJ - One man from Manahawkin lost his life after losing control of his SUV on the Garden State Parkway, crashing into multiple trees near milepost 82 in Toms River.

22-year-old John Deluca lost his life following a devastating car accident on Sunday, March 9, 2025. According to police, the crash occurred around 11:30 a.m., sending emergency responders racing to milepost 82 on the southbound parkway.

Troopers reached the scene and encountered Deluca’s Buick SUV, as a grim reality sank in. The vehicle had veered off the road, smashing into multiple trees with brutal force. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the crash, Deluca succumbed to his injuries.

As of now, the crash remains under investigation, with police working tirelessly to piece together the events leading up to the fatal moment.
